Happy Summer!

Paleo Chai Tea Latte

Happy Saturday, everyone!

Cheers to the weekend, am I right? I finally got my stuff together and after 2 weeks of saying I would post this recipe, I'm actually doing it. Yay me.

Ingredients:

- 2 c almond milk (I use the 60 cal from H-E-B, as it's a little sweeter than the unsweetened one. Imagine that.)

- 1/2 tsp cinnamon

- 1/2 tsp cardamom

- 1/2 tsp vanilla

- 1/2 tsp ginger (If you're not a ginger fan, do 1/4 tsp like I do)

- 2 tbsp honey

- 1 pinch of cloves (or about 1 tsp ground cloves)

- 2 black tea bags

Directions:

1. Heat milk in a pot over the stove. I put in on medium heat at first to get it warming up quickly.

2. While your milk is heating, ground your cloves with a mortar & pestle (if you're not using ground cloves)

3. Add all your cloves, spices, vanilla, and honey to the almond milk. Whisk around. The cinnamon likes to clump up so make sure to whisk it really well.

4. Turn your heat to low and let sit, whisking every now and then. Once it's sat for a couple minutes, and your 2 tea bags and let steep for 5 minutes.

5. If you ground your own cloves, then take a strainer and pour the latte from the pan through the strainer into your cup. This will remove any clove particles.

6. Enjoy! In the summer, sometimes I will make 2 servings of this, drink one hot, then put one serving in the refrigerator overnight and drink an iced chai tea latte the next day.

Hope you enjoy this as much as I do! Cheers!
